How to Properly Motivate Your Internet Marketing Downline

Motivating your Internet marketing downline is quite different from motivating office employees. After all, office employees receive regular wages and you also get to meet them daily at the office. With the people making up your Internet marketing downline, it’s you who’s actually profiting from them and you definitely don’t get to see them daily as a rule. In spite of these, however, all you need are slight variations on how you are as a manager and you’ll get to motivate your Internet marketing downline effectively.

How to Properly Motivate Your Internet Marketing Downline

Bearing the differences between regular employees and Internet marketing downline in mind, here are some of the things you can do to motivate them.

Personalize your approach.

Start by getting to know the people that make up your Internet marketing downline. Who are they? What are they like outside work? What are their dreams and aspirations? What are their fears? What kind of problems do they commonly suffer from? Only when you get to know them will you be able to personalize your approach.

When it’s time to give them a pep talk, use your knowledge to motivate them effectively. If you want them to work harder, make sure to relate it with their personal goals in life. You need to establish a strong connection between work and their personal lives to make the organizational goals more meaningful for them.

And yes, personalizing your approach also lets them know that you cared enough to truly listen to what they have to say. Letting them see that you’re concerned doesn’t hurt and will make them less prone to thinking that you only care about them because you’ll earn from their hard work.

Be a role model.

Donít just be all talk with no action! Your Internet marketing downline won’t be properly motivated if they realize that youíre leaving it all to them to do the hard work while you alone reap the rewards. Show them that youíre able to stand by what you preach. Show them your ability to work just as hard as you want them to, maybe even harder!

Being a role model is also the best way to teach new lessons to your downline. By being a role model, you’re letting them see how things actually work and what the results are if they follow what you teach.

Lastly, being a role model sets standards in your group. If they see you working hard, they’ll feel conscious about their own efforts and most, if not all, will be motivated to strive to meet your standards so that no one will be able to say anything bad about them.

Share your blessings.

The way most MLM plans work, itís the downlines that share their profits with those above them and not the other way around. But if you can afford to share your blessings with your downline once in a while, and especially if most of the profit youíre enjoying comes from them, then go ahead and do so! This will further cement their loyalty to you and inspire them to work even harder.

Encourage them to think out of the box.

Last but not the least, encourage and train your downline to think out of the box. You can’t be with them every step of the way but by teaching them to think out of the box, you can be sure that they’ll survive and maybe even succeed in the times that you arenít physically present to guide them in their actions and decisions.
